steve k pic.jpg STEVE KAMINSKI -  Steve Kaminski has been actively working in Hollywood California for over 20 years in both music and television industry.  His credits include various projects for television, radio, film including producing, performing, sound design and orchestrations. Steve has scored over 300 hours of television and film music for CBS, ABC, PBS, MTV and BET as well as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra.

As a television composer, Steve has brought his talent to many television shows including MTV's, Makin' the Band, The Ghost Whisperer, Ugly Betty, and Samantha Who among many. While in Los Angeles he worked as a music coach and composer for Desperate Housewives, Criminal Minds, and several other Disney TV series.  Classically trained Steve holds multiple music degrees in vocal performance, as well as music theory and composition.  Since 2002, Steve has been a visiting professor at UCLA's School of Theater, Film and TV.

He is proud to be a part of SPARK and work with this team of dedicated and talented artists and educators.

 




steve k pic.jpg Lucy Tew –Acting Instructor -SPARK –The MacDuffie School

Lucy A.J. Tew's education in theater began as a child, and continued all the way through college, and now into her teaching career. Born and raised in Los Angeles, California, she is a recent transplant to Massachusetts.

Her theatrical resume includes performances in and design or technical work for nearly 100 productions of plays and musicals, including volunteering with and writing scripts for the Born to Act Players, a Los Angeles-based acting troupe for performers with Down Syndrome and other disabilities. When she is not working as a residential life advisor and middle school theater teacher, she is writing her own novels and short stories.

 




steve k pic.jpg Kathryn Pepe –Acting Instructor -SPARK East Windsor, CT

Kathryn is currently teaching the ACTING I & II classes at Asnuntuck Community College.  Her varied background includes theatre, music and dance as well as entertainment management & promotion.  She holds a Masters Degree in Adult Education & a B.A. in Theatre Arts from the University of Washington in Seattle. 

She spent 10 years at the Art Institute of Seattle in the Music Business Department as an instructor and academic advisor and served as adjunct in community college where she taught classes in scriptwriting, oral & written communication and storytelling & improvisation.  She has worked as a voice-over artist, on-air radio reader & movie/television extra and has extensive acting & directing experience in both college & community theatre. 

She created a Readers Theatre company (Cuppa Theatre) that brought performances to coffee houses throughout the Seattle area.  She has been fronting bands since the age of 20 and currently performs with a classic rock band as lead vocalist/percussionist.

 




steve k pic.jpg Angie Muzzy-Dance Instructor-SPARK –The MacDuffie School  

Angie Muzzy  began her dance training in the hills of Western Massachusetts. She received an MFA in Dance at The College at Brockport and a BA in Theater and Dance from Keene State College. She was a company member of Boston based Lorraine Chapman The Company and has worked with choreographers: Robert Battle, Monica Bill Barnes, Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp, Beppie Blankert, Bill Evans, Stephan Koplowitz, Marcia Murdock, Cathy Nicoli, Karl Rogers, Candice Salyers, among others. She has taught at Alfred University, The College at Brockport, and Keene State College.

She currently directs the dance program at The MacDuffie School in Granby, MA and has showcased her work at The School of Contemporary School and Thought, The 5th Annual Somatic Dance Conference and Performance Festival, Movement Research, Dixon Place, The Movement Exchange, ACDA, Visual Studies Workshop, The Southern Vermont Dance Festival and Cultivate Dance New Hampshire.

She is a certified 200hr Embodyoga instructor and is on faculty at The Dance Studio in Orange, MA.

 




steve k pic.jpg Rachel Dubreuil –Dance Instructor -SPARK East Windsor

Rachel Dubreuil began her dance career at a young age in Enfield, CT.  She continued her education at the Greater Hartford Performing Arts Academy where she studied classical ballet, modern, tap, and musical theater.  After high school Rachel attended Westfield State University where she majored in education and obtained her teaching license in both Massachusetts and Connecticut. 

During her time at Westfield State University, Rachel was on the Competitive Westfield State Dance Team, where she was captain, choreographed for the team, and led the team to first place in the region.  At the age of sixteen she followed her passion and began teaching dance at Riley’s School of Dance where she received the majority of her dance education. 

Over the years she has taught students age three to eighteen in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, hip hop, and gymnastics and prepared them for numerous performances throughout the year.  Rachel has taken any opportunity she could to follow her passion for dance and began coaching the Enfield High School Dance Team last year.  She looks forward to working with Spark camps this summer and sharing in her passion of dance!




steve k pic.jpg Elise A. Murphy Mulligan, Acting Instructor-SPARK –WIndham  

Elise is a local teacher, actress, and director.  She studied acting a Boston University and received her BS in educational theatre and developmental psychology from New York University.  While attending NYU, Elise attended HB Studios in Manhattan ultimately earning a full scholarship while interning for Elizabeth Dillan.  She studied under a number of reputable teachers/coaches while performing on stage, in TV, radio, and film.  Elise has her Masters degree in education/teaching from Sacred Heart University.  She has performed in a number of Off and Off Off Broadway productions, TV shows, radio and TV commercials, as well as a number of independent films.

Elise teaches theatre and psychology and writes children’s plays.  She was proud to have one of her plays produced and performed for the bicentennial celebration at Stamford's’ Rich Forum.  She was the educational consultant for the Norwalk Aquarium’s in school assembly program and performed the part of Dr. LivingSound until she was lucky enough to help establish a school for the performing arts in Stamford.  She moved to Middlesex County a few years ago and has served as Drama director for Hale-Ray High School, Old Saybrook High School, and is currently Drama Club director at Corpus Christi School.




steve k pic.jpg Carissa Nascembeni -Dance Instructor WIndham SPARK  

Carissa, a native of Western, Massachusetts, holds a BA in Dance from Springfield College and an AA in Dance from Dean College. She has worked as a dance teacher, choreographer, studio director, and performer.

She has five years experience on dance and promotional teams for the NBA D-League, American Hockey League, and Major League Soccer. Carissa has the pleasure of teaching the art of dance full-time in schools, studios, and community college settings.

In addition to dance education, she also has a passion for many forms of movement/fitness and is a Pure Barre instructor.
